UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
- Only women candidates are eligible to apply for both Karyakartri and Sahayika posts.

Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification for both Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika posts is Intermediate (12th) or equivalent. The maximum qualification considered for merit preparation is Postgraduate – meaning merit will be prepared taking into account qualifications up to the postgraduate level.
Age Limit
The date of birth recorded in the High School certificate/marksheet will be considered valid for age calculation. Category-wise age relaxation, if any, is not mentioned in the official notification.
Selection Process

For candidates below the poverty line (BPL)

- For widow candidates: Death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Nagar Nikay, along with a certified copy of the family register (parivar panjika).
- For legally divorced/abandoned candidates: A valid legal order issued by the competent court.
- Residence certificate and caste certificate: Only online, digitally signed certificates issued from the Tehsil level, verifiable online, will be accepted.
- Income certificate: Issued by the competent authority as per Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj0-9 dated 30.09.2011 (as amended), verifiable online.
