The number of vacancies is tentative, based on input from indenting departments, and may increase or decrease at the sole discretion of the A&N Administration. The selection process consists of Tier-I (Tablet Based Test – TBT Online Examination), followed by Tier-II (Physical Standard Examination / Physical Measurement and Endurance Test / Skill / Trade Test – qualifying in nature, where applicable), and Document Verification. Shortlisting for document verification will be based on merit in the TBT examination in the respective category. Who should NOT apply for A&N Administration Combined Matric Level Examination 2026?
- Candidates who are not Indian Nationals.
- Candidates who do not meet the educational qualification prescribed in Annexure-I for the specific post code they are applying for – qualifications vary widely from 10th pass to technical diploma/degree depending on the post.
- Candidates above the applicable age limit (33 years for Male / 38 years for Female for Group C UR) as on 28-06-2026 who do not qualify for any applicable age relaxation.
- OBC candidates from states other than A&N Islands applying under OBC reservation – only Local OBC (NCL) candidates as per specified Gazette Notifications of A&N Administration are eligible for OBC quota. Others will be treated as UR.

Important Instructions for A&N Administration Combined Matric Level Examination 2026 Candidates
- Candidature will be accepted only provisionally; the A&N Administration will not undertake detailed scrutiny at the time of TBT examination. Verification of eligibility, documents, and certificates will be done at the time of Online Document Verification stage.
- Candidates must carry printed e-Admit Card and one valid government-issued photo ID (in original) to the TBT examination – entry without Admit Card will not be allowed.
- The A&N Administration reserves the right to restrict entry to the examination venue till 09:30 AM.
- Banned items in examination hall: Mobile Phone, Micro Phone, Calculators, Pager, Digital Diary, Electronic/Smart Watch/Wrist Watches, Bluetooth devices, any other electronic/electrical devices, Book, and Notes are strictly prohibited.
