Common Mistakes to Avoid – APGENCO AEE Application Troubleshooting 2026
Many candidates miss out on the APGENCO AEE Exam 2026 due to avoidable errors during the application process. Here are the most critical mistakes to watch out for:
- Confusing Journal Number with completed application: Paying the fee and receiving a Journal Number does NOT mean the application is submitted. Candidates must log in and complete the full application form after fee payment.
- Not uploading certificates before the deadline: All certificates must be uploaded by 20 July 2026. Without uploaded certificates, the hall ticket will not be generated – candidates cannot appear for the exam.
- Using Distance Mode degrees from other State Universities: Degrees awarded under Distance Mode through study centers of universities outside Andhra Pradesh are not legally valid for this recruitment. Apply only with qualifications recognized by UGC/AICTE.
- Not noting that zone and utility preferences are final: Preferences for Power Utility (for Electrical/Civil branches) and Zone/Unit submitted in the online application cannot be changed under any circumstances after submission. Choose carefully before clicking “Submit.”
- Attempting to bring mobile phones or electronic devices to exam: Mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, and all electronic storage/communication devices are strictly prohibited at the exam centre – even in switched-off mode. Violations attract a ban from future exams.
- Not arriving 1 hour before exam time: Candidates must report to the examination centre at least 1 hour before commencement for biometric verification. No candidate is permitted to enter after the prescribed reporting time mentioned on the hall ticket.
- Not carrying government-issued photo ID to the exam: Apart from the hall ticket, candidates must carry at least one original valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License). Candidates without valid ID are not permitted to appear.
- Exercising external influence or canvassing: Any attempt to influence the recruitment process through recommendations, political pressure, or third-party canvassing at any stage results in permanent disqualification not just from this but from any future APGENCO recruitment.
- Leaving the application form incomplete: No relevant column in the application form should be left blank – the application will not be accepted if any required field is empty. Once submitted, no additional information furnished later will be entertained.
- Not factoring in the 7-year bond commitment: Candidates should carefully consider the service bond requirements (5 years after 2-year probation = 7 years total) and the liquidated damages clauses (₹5 lakh if leaving during probation; ₹10 lakh if leaving before completing 5 years post-probation) before applying.
