- +3 examination or equivalent
- Diploma in Computer Application
- Ability to read, write and speak Oriya and pass a test in Oriya equivalent to M.E. Standard
- Good character
- Sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity
- Not more than one spouse living, if married
- No criminal proceeding pending
Junior Typist:
- Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in type writing
Stenographer Grade III:
- Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in type writing
