Important Notes from the Official MPPSC Selection List
The official MPPSC notification contains several critical conditions that selected candidates must be aware of before joining. These notes are reproduced from the official document in simplified English.
- 87% Main List only at present: The current selection covers only the 87% Main Part posts. The 13% Provisional Part (Pravidhik Bhag) selection will be declared after the final court judgment on OBC reservation matters.
- Tiebreaking rules: In cases of equal combined merit, the following order of preference applies: (a) Higher combined marks, (b) Higher written exam marks, (c) Older candidate by age.
- Guest Faculty (Atithi Vidwan) reservation: Eligibility and age relaxation for Guest Faculty candidates have been verified by a departmental committee nominated by the Higher Education Department.
- Court-pending candidates: Results of candidates whose cases are pending before the Hon’ble Court have been withheld pending final judicial decision. Their marks have therefore not been published.
- Right to correct errors: If any computer/clerical error comes to MPPSC’s notice after the result is published, the Commission reserves the right to correct the selection result.
- Disability seat adjustments: Out of 13 posts reserved for disabled candidates in the main 87% portion (Locomotor – 3, Hearing Impaired – 6, Visually Impaired – 4), no candidates were available for Hearing Impaired, so those 3 posts have been kept vacant and carried against the Unreserved category as per government directions.
- Unreserved candidates selected in reserved seats: As per MP Government circular, candidates of reserved categories who qualify on unreserved merit without any relaxation benefit are selected against unreserved posts, not reserved posts.
- Women quota for insufficient female candidates: If sufficient women candidates are not available for women-reserved seats, those posts may be filled by male candidates of the same category as per MP Government circular dated 10.02.1997.
