A total of 1829 vacancies have been notified across 22 departments for the posts of Auditor (Lekha Pareekshak) and Assistant Accountant (Sahayak Lekhakaar). Vertical reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and horizontal reservation (DFF, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Women, Outstanding Sportsperson) are applicable as per UP Government rules and as communicated by the indenting departments.

Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of application, i.e. 03-08-2026. Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of documents at subsequent stages.
UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam 2026 Age Limit
Age is calculated as on 01 July of the calendar year in which the vacancy was advertised/published. For most posts, the candidate must have attained 21 years of age and must not have exceeded 40 years as on 1st July of the relevant year. Standard relaxations apply for reserved categories as per UP Government rules.
UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam 2026 Application Fee
The application fee is payable online only through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. No other mode of payment is accepted. After successful fee payment and reconciliation, the application form will be automatically submitted.
Note: Dependants of Freedom Fighters, Ex-Servicemen, Women, PwBD, and Outstanding Sportspersons from categories S.No. 1 to 4 must pay fee as per their base category. The Main Examination fee will be charged separately from shortlisted candidates before the admit card is issued for the Main Exam.

UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Written/OMR Based Main Examination. Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done on the basis of normalized scores obtained in PET-2025. Candidates equal to 15 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for the written exam, including all candidates who have scored up to the final cut-off score (up to two decimal places).
Stage 1 – Shortlisting Based on PET-2025 Normalized Score
Only those candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and possess a valid PET Score Card are eligible. Shortlisting will be done on the basis of PET-2025 normalized score in the ratio of 1:15 (vacancies to candidates) category-wise. Candidates marked as Under Investigation (UI) or Provisional in PET-2025 results will be provisionally permitted to appear in the Main Examination, subject to the final outcome of the ongoing inquiry.
Stage 2 – Written/OMR Based Main Examination
The Main Examination will be a single-shift objective type MCQ paper consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks with a time duration of 120 minutes (2 hours). There will be negative marking of 1/4 (25%) of the marks for each wrong answer.
Stage 3 – Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit in the Written Examination will be called for verification of original documents. Candidates failing to produce valid original documents on the scheduled date will not be considered for selection.
Who should NOT apply for UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam 2026?
- Candidates who did not appear in UPSSSC PET-2025 or have not been issued a PET-2025 Score Card by the Commission.
- Candidates who scored zero, negative, or were absent in PET-2025.
- Candidates who do not possess the mandatory essential educational qualification (B.Com + ‘O’ Level Computer Diploma) as on 03-08-2026.
- Candidates not domiciled in UP who wish to claim reservation benefits.
- OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer.
- EWS candidates whose EWS certificate has not been issued between 01-04-2026 and 03-08-2026 or is not based on FY 2025-26 income.
- Candidates who provide false, incomplete, or unverifiable information in the online application form.
- Candidates who are unable to produce valid documents at the time of Document Verification.
- Male candidates with more than one living wife, or female candidates who have married a man who already has a living wife — they are not eligible unless exemption has been granted by the Governor.
Common mistakes / What to check before applying UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam 2026?
- Not logging in through PET-2025 Registration Number and OTP — this is mandatory; there is no separate new registration for this Main Exam application.
- Not selecting (checking) the specific post/department you wish to apply for in the application form — unselected posts will not be considered.
- Not giving the preference order of departments/posts in the application — UPSSSC will attempt to allot based on merit and preferences given.
- Not ensuring that your EWS certificate is valid as on the cut-off date and is on the correct prescribed format (UP Government format, not a general income certificate).
- Not completing fee reconciliation by 10-08-2026 even if application is submitted before 03-08-2026 — application will not be finally submitted without fee reconciliation.
- Not downloading and printing the application form after successful fee reconciliation — it is mandatory to keep a printout for Document Verification.
- Waiting until the last date to apply — UPSSSC advises candidates to apply well before the closing date to avoid server overload.
- Not checking that the PwBD disability type and sub-category are correctly mentioned in the application form as per the latest UP Government orders.

The entire application process — including filling of the form, fee payment, and submission — can be completed in one session. Login is done using the PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to the registered mobile number/email.

- Online applications are open from 14-07-2026 to 03-08-2026. Fee reconciliation and application amendment window closes on 10-08-2026.
- Only one application is to be submitted; if a candidate submits more than one application for the same post, only the last submitted application will be considered.
